I have a linksys WRT54GL V1.1. I am thinking to use the DD-WRT. I checked their download page, there are so many download links there, really confused me.
Aug 29, 2012 · I finally got my extra Linksys WRT54G router to function as a repeater/range extender after about ten tries, there was at least one person here on CH&S who wanted to know how it's done and I thought I'd share.. Being the lazy person that I am, I asked my brother what to get and he said WRT54GL from Linksys because you can run DD-WRT a nice GPL firmware that makes this cheap $50 router into a $150+ WAP device. So, I procured one, brought it home, opened it up and got ready to install dd-wrt on it. Dec 16, 2009 · I am trying to open port 5466 on a on WRT54GL with DD-WRT for a IP WebCam. When I check with Open Port Check Tool I get: Error: I could not see your service on xx.xx.xxx.xxx on port (5466) Reason: Connection refused I have tried countless ports Two Methods to Reset the Linksys WRT54GL Wireless Router Reset Button to Physically Reset the Linksys WRT54GL Router. The first method involves simply pressing a button located on the back of the router. The button should be labeled Reset and can’t be pushed in by a finger. Nov 12, 2019 · If the password on your Linksys WRT54G has been changed, the default password of admin won't work.If you don't know the password, reset the WRT54G router to its factory default settings, which restores the configurations back to how it was when the router was first purchased, including its password. I have both. I had the WRT330N but the LAN ports burnt out and gave it to my gf. I'm not using the WRT54GL with DD-WRT. I might be able to revive the LAN ports on the WRT330N, and if I do, is there any serious advantage using the WRT330N over the WRT54GL, mainly in gaming? I mean, QoS is QoS r get the dd-wrt.v23 SP2 21-10-06 thats what im using with my WRT54GL ver 1.1 you can try the betas i only bricked 1 i think the other wrtsl54gs i dropped water in it but it was fantastic with ddwrt
